D A Y N I G H T Magazine Launch
On top of Charlie Schuck's photography studio, he opened an amazing shop in Seattle, and now is launching this visual photo journal tonight...
AND he always throws the best parties....
AND he can fix broken iPhones. No joke.
Sometimes I wonder if this guy ever sleeps...

I'd Like to Tap That: Smith Tower...Again
Check out this amazing photos essay that our friend Kyle Johnson who did a piece for Kinfolk Magazine Vol. 3!! Kyle proposed the project and shot the story while Ashley Helvey styled the shoot at the top pyramid loft space of the Smith Tower.
When the NYT feature of the space came out about 2 years ago, I wrote a blog post about that space and about how my life won't even compare to the 3 year old kid living there!! But that was the past... now the NEW me, is little bit more optimistic knowing that I'm less than 6 degrees separated from the people who lives there. I'm getting SO close I can taste it!
But seriously though....I'm SUPER excited for Kyle & Ashley that they got to do this (and of course, equally jealous!) It looked like such a surreal expereince....to hang out in the space, see the view of the city & the water from the 40th floor, while eating a homemade meal by Molly Wizenberg (of Orangette) and Brandon Pettit ( of Delancey)!
Yah, I know, can it get anymore ridiculous than this? I would very much like to shut the front door on them, too.

Someday....I'll get to a point where I don't have to pay $35+ just to see views like this on a day-to-day bases.

Let's "Walk" Around the World!
Check out this 9 Eyes project by Jon Rafman, where he "traveled" around the world with Google Street View in search of these amazing unintentional photo documented shots that captures the most fascinating scenes and moments. Some of which are amazingly beautiful, bizzare, horrific, random or just straight up funny going on...
Aaaaand...Don't think I'll be looking at real estate on these streets below anytime soon....
I'm forever fascinated with Google Street View...and this guy.

Fireworks Studies
This amazing book by Pierre Le Hors' 'Firework Studies' has pages after pages of beautiful black & white photos of varying moments of fireworks in the sky.
It's just amazing to look at even in a book.
I can never get sick of watching fireworks....which means that I can see myself never getting sick of looking at this book.
I suppose that's why people are willing to spend millions just for 30 minutes of entertainment....that's freedom for ya!
Happy America Weekend!!

Disassembled

Don't think that's a good idea, since most likely I won't be able to put them back together.

Starting the Year with a Little Attitude

This lovely piece is a "limited edition 12 month calendar featuring beautiful kittens in United Bamboo Ready-to-Wear."

Now that's.....purrrrrtty cool.
I really don't think I can get as motivated for the year if I didn't get this!

It comes in a beautiful silk-screened sleeve, and all the number on the dates are blind embossed onto nice heavy gloss sheets. The very last page even has all 12 months silver foil stamped as well....

I know what you're thinking....I'm gonna become a crazy cat lady...
but guess what?.....you probably right...that might just happen.
